Five years after shooting was completed on the film En pays neufs (1934-1937), Maurice Proulx retourned to Sainte-Anne-de-Roquemaure to investigate how this young Abitibi village had changed. Filmed in Kodachrome, this well-made medium-length film offers a somewhat idyllic and very religious vision of rural settlement efforts.
