After spending several years in hiding in the United States, a fugitive returns to his village to see his daughter. The arrival of this mysterious stranger gives rise to gossip and tittle-tattle among the villagers. The intervention of the priest (Ovila Légaré) nevertheless makes it possible to avoid having the scandal upset the girl’s marriage plans. Le curé de village was adapted from the popular radio serial by Robert Choquette.
