The face of Montreal changed in the 1920s. Skyscrapers were built downtown, the most impressive of which was that of the Sun Life company. Mount Royal also became a work site with the construction of St. Joseph’s Oratory and the Université de Montréal. These images give an overview of the major work carried out at the time on the city’s rail network, and in particular the construction of the terminal which would later become Central Station.
